Kevin Simmonds is a writer and musician originally from New Orleans. His writing has appeared most recently in Salt Hill, Kyoto Journal and the anthology War Diaries. His original music for Hope, chronicling HIV/AIDS in Jamaica (commissioned by the Pulitzer Center), debuts at the National Black Theater Festival this summer.
